The Two
Cats.
Ranthambore Jawai
Four nights in Ranthambore's tiger country. Three nights among the granite leopard country of Jawai. One naturalist team. One considered route. Our most-requested journey.

India's two largest cats — tiger and leopard — share a continent but hardly a habitat. We built this journey because the contrast between the two, done within a single week, is one of the most rewarding things you can do in Rajasthan.
Ranthambore sets you up. Open dry forest, ruins, water — tigers in their most photographable terrain. Then a single drive west takes you to Jawai. Granite hills, shepherds, and a leopard population that lives on the rock in plain sight. Same week. Same naturalist team. Two completely different experiences of being out with big cats.
Delhi → Sawai Madhopur
Met on arrival in Delhi. Onward by train or private vehicle to Sawai Madhopur — the small town beside the park. Settle into your camp in the late afternoon. Briefing from your naturalist over dinner.
Ranthambore National Park
Two drives — dawn and afternoon. The morning drive is your introduction to the zone allocation; your naturalist talks you through the previous night's activity. Afternoon drive across a different zone. Brunch and a long middle of the day.
Ranthambore National Park
Two further drives, weighted toward the historic core zones if the draw allows. By now your naturalist has a read on the resident tigresses and where they're moving. Light walk to the fort ruins in the late afternoon if conditions allow.
Ranthambore National Park
Two drives focused on photography. Earlier start. Quieter approach. Your naturalist will work to position the vehicle for the light. An afternoon drive built around what you've still hoped to see.
Sawai Madhopur → Jawai
An early start. Onward by private vehicle — about seven hours of road, broken with stops. Arrive Jawai in the late afternoon. Brief evening drive into the granite hills as the light goes soft.
Jawai Hills
First-light drive into the granite. Leopards are most active at the very edges of the day — your naturalist will know which ridges to push for. Afternoon drive through the shepherd villages and out toward the reservoir.
Bera
A drive across to Bera — Jawai's quieter sibling. Different leopards, different ridges, fewer vehicles. Long afternoon, late return. Final dinner at the property.
Jawai → Udaipur
Morning drive to Udaipur airport — about three hours. Connecting flight, or extended stay in Udaipur on request.
